Our general retention practices may include:

  • Customer accounts may be retained indefinitely where operationally possible.
  • Accounts may be marked inactive rather than permanently deleted.
  • Payment methods associated with an inactive account may be removed where reasonably possible.
  • Purchase and transaction records may be retained indefinitely for business, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and recordkeeping purposes.
  • Testing-credit records may be retained as part of the customer’s purchase and account history.
  • Batch, sample, result, and certificate records may be retained indefinitely as historical laboratory records.
  • Customer communications may generally be retained for approximately three years or longer when needed for legal, operational, customer service, or dispute-resolution purposes.
  • Breeder Directory information may be retained while a listing remains active and for a reasonable period afterward.
  • Website logs, security records, and analytics information may be retained for periods appropriate to their purpose.

Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, the reason it was collected, applicable obligations, and operational needs.

Certain information may be retained even after an account is deactivated when deletion would interfere with laboratory records, financial records, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or the integrity of historical results.

12. Biological Samples

Submitted biological samples are used to perform the laboratory testing requested by the customer and to complete related quality-control procedures.

Samples may be retained temporarily while testing, review, verification, or appropriate retesting is completed.

After testing and any applicable quality-control period, physical samples may be disposed of in accordance with P3’s laboratory procedures and applicable requirements.

P3 does not currently intend to use customer samples for unrelated research.

If P3 introduces a future research program requiring additional sample use, we will provide appropriate information and obtain separate consent when required.

Customers should not send samples containing human biological material.

Deactivating an account may not result in the deletion of historical purchases, batches, results, certificates, or other records that P3 must or reasonably needs to retain.

15. Do Not Sell or Share Requests

P3 does not currently sell personal information for monetary compensation.

We also do not knowingly use personal information for targeted advertising in a manner that would require an opt-out under applicable law unless disclosed through an appropriate notice or consent mechanism.

If our practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any legally required choices.
