Description
Poultry DNA Sexing helps determine whether a bird is male or female using DNA-based testing. This is especially useful for chicks, juvenile birds, and poultry species where visual sexing can be unreliable, delayed, or difficult.
This test is designed to give breeders and bird owners a clearer way to make informed flock, pairing, and record-keeping decisions. Instead of waiting for visible traits to develop, customers can submit samples and receive results through the customer portal once testing is complete.
Supported poultry species include:
Chicken
Chukar
Duck
Goose
Guinea Fowl
Peafowl
Pheasant
Quail
Swan
Turkey
After purchasing testing credits, customers will enter their sample details, generate a Batch Slip, label their samples, and mail them to the laboratory. Results become available in the customer dashboard once the batch has been processed.
What This Test Helps With: Identifying male and female birds earlier
Supporting breeding and pairing decisions
Improving flock records
Reducing uncertainty in species with limited visible sex differences
Managing customer records for breeders and farms
